Yami, Bhumi excited to witness how fashion merges with art
ALDO, an international leader in fashion footwear and accessories, will launch its Fall 2016 collection at Palladium, Lower Parel here on Friday. The event will witness fashion and art come together.
The brand has collaborated with renowned artist Jehangir Asgar Jani to create artworks inspired by the collection. For the occasion, a pop-up art gallery will be built to display the products as well as Jani’s artworks, read a statement.
Yami is looking forward to the artsy launch.
“It is amazing to see how the collection has been exquisitely translated into art… The Fall collection has something for every occasion and is perfect for any man or woman who want to get the perfect look for their outfit,” Yami said.
Kartik also shared that he is “thrilled to be part of this unique concept”, while Saqib says he is “happy to attend the preview of this unique launch of the collection via this unique amalgamation of art and fashion”.
“Dum Laga Ke Haisha” star Bhumi said: “I have a fetish for shoes and what could be more exciting than attending the preview via this initiative of Art and Soles.”
Tushar Ved, President of Major Brands India Pvt Ltd — a franchise for premier international fashion brands — said: “The collection is beautifully depicted through his (Jani) artwork which is a confluence of fashion and art.”
Talking about the collaboration, artist Jani said that he has tried to “immortalise the beautiful products”.
“The artworks also serve as practical visual presentations by helping to demonstrate what the shoes look like when worn on a daily basis, since a lot of the walking that we do is, in fact, on concrete,” Jani added.
