Actor Emraan Hashmi, better known for his romantic and Casanova roles, says his next movie Shanghai would be a turning point in his career. In this film Emraan is seen sporting a paunch, buck tooth and looks dark complexioned.

Speaking to a local news channel Emraan said “It is one of the most interesting characters that I have played in my career. Whatever was required for the character I did that. Dibakar wanted me to look in a certain way”. Emraan had to gain nine to ten kg weight and go a few shades darker for Shangahi. In Shanghai Emraan will be shedding his ‘serial kisser’ image and play an earth character. Set to release on June 8, Shanghai revolves around the greed and corruption of politicians, and also stars Kalki Koechlin, Abhay Deol.
