‘Bombay Velvet’ team plans to raise money in a unique way

‘Bombay Velvet’ is one of the most awaited films this year and is all set to hit the screens on May 15th. According to reports, the entire team of this film has decided to contribute to charity in a unique way.

The makers of the film have decided to auction the costumes of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma online next week. As this film is set in the late 1950’s and 1960’s the costumes are designed in a way that represent that era. However, they are of no use in the current generation so, the makers thought of using it for a good cause.

The entire cast’s costumes weigh about 25,000 kg and the makers have decided to auction at least 1,200 to 1,500 attires of the lead actors. The money collected from them will be donated to charity. Directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Fox Star Studios in association with Phantom Productions, ‘Bombay Velvet’ also stars Karan Johar, Kay Kay Menon, Manish Choudhary in lead roles.
