‘Bombay Velvet’ finally completes censor formalities

Earlier this week, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to give ‘Bombay Velvet’ U/A certificate because of abusive language and violence. But the film’s director Anurag Kashyap didn’t accept this and went to Revising Committee (RC) to censor the film with U/A certificate.

According to reports, Anurag Kashyap had his way by getting a U/A certificate which enables the film to reach out to the audience big time. However, he has agreed to delete 2 cuss words, ‘son of a bitch’, ‘haramzada’ and edit out some kissing scenes between the lead pair to clear this period-drama with a U/A certificate.

However, finally the film has given U/A certificate by CBFC. This movie also stars Karan Johar in a key role and is slated to hit the screens on May 25, 2015.
